Outbound benchmarks by region: India, Southeast Asia, Middle East and the US

Quick answer

From the SDR pods I built and ran, a healthy outbound pod produced roughly 20 to 25 qualified meetings a month in India, 12 to 14 in Southeast Asia, 12 to 14 in the Middle East and 10 to 12 in the US. Market size, buying culture and competition explain most of the gap, not the effort of the team.

Founders often ask what "good" looks like for outbound. Most benchmarks online come from US SaaS companies and do not travel well. Here are the numbers from SDR pods I built and managed across four regions, and what drives the differences.

The numbers

RegionQualified meetings per pod, per month
India20 to 25
Southeast Asia12 to 14
Middle East12 to 14
United States10 to 12

These cover both enterprise and SME targets. "Qualified" means the meeting met the agreed criteria for fit and interest, not just that someone accepted a calendar invite.

Why India produces more meetings

Buyers in India are more willing to take a first call, phone outreach works, and the number of reachable companies in most segments is large. The catch: cycles are long and relationship led, so more meetings do not automatically mean faster revenue.

Why Southeast Asia and the Middle East sit in the middle

Southeast Asia is fragmented by country and language, so a single regional sequence underperforms. The Middle East is relationship led and slow to the first meeting, but meetings there tend to be with senior decision makers. In both, relevance matters far more than volume.

Why the US is lowest

US buyers are the most heavily prospected in the world, inbox filters are strict, and the bar for relevance is high. A meeting is harder to get but often closer to a real buying process.

How to use these benchmarks

  • Compare within a region, not across. Twelve meetings a month in the US is healthy. Twelve in India is a warning sign.
  • Look at the inputs first. Below range usually means a problem with the ICP, the sending setup or the message, in that order.
  • Measure conversion, not just meetings. The region with the most meetings is not always the one with the most revenue.

Frequently asked questions

How many meetings should an SDR book per month?

It depends heavily on the market. In the pods I ran, the healthy range was about 20 to 25 qualified meetings a month in India and 10 to 12 in the US, with Southeast Asia and the Middle East in between.

Why is outbound harder in the US?

US buyers receive more cold outreach than anywhere else, filters are strict, and the relevance bar is high, so meetings are fewer but often more serious.

What should I fix first if meetings are low?

Check the ideal customer profile, then deliverability, then the message. Most shortfalls trace back to one of those three before the team itself.
